Solar charge controller connected to a Quattro 5000w

Can I connect the battery output of a MMPT to the battery input on my Quattro 5000 . Instead of running cables to the batteries which adds about 5 meters of expensive cables. ..???

Why would you want to do this?

OK, I think I get it...the batteries connected to the inverter battery connection and the MPPT connected there as well. Yes?

If so...I haven't seen that set-up in years. But, it is possible to do. Mostly today you see busbars, distributors, fusing, etc. But whatever works for you.

No reason not to, provided that you protect the thinner cables with a fuse - if the distance is more than a meter or so. Victron do this in the easysolar inverter range.
