I need a Y-axis scale of 0 - 6000. When I input this in the custom widget, VRM says 'max value 5000'. Peculiar thing is that when I originally created another widget, I succeeded in setting the scale 0-6000. What is happening here?

It is Watts indeed. Why have a limit at all? Note that I saw this on Input watts (generator) and solar watts.
Suggestion: if you need a maximum for some reason, make it a bit higher than the maximum that could ever occur using Victron equipment, now and the (near) future. And not only Watts, but all other variables as well.
Apart from that, custom widgets are a great option.

It’s a good idea to have some validation on the fields, but agreed it should never be obvious to the user unless they make a mistake.
It’s been increased to 500,000 now.
