MultiPlus 24 3000 70 will not turn on

I was attempting to power up the AC side of my multiplus 24 3000 70 240 volt and connect with a MK2 to update firmware and reconfigure the unit. DC is not connected. AC in was connected correctly and turned on. When I turned the multi on the mains on light briefly flicked on and then it turned off. The unit will not turn on - any help would be appreciated

You should NOT power up the AC side of a multi without the battery connected. (RT*M)

I tend to use a very small battery (3.6Ah) for powering up multi's for programming or bench testing, unless a higher current is needed.
