BMS WORKING WHEN SMART CHARGER CONNECTED ?

Looking to use the external VICTRON IP65 SMART BLUE CHARGER to charge my 200 Amp Victron Smart Lithium after a deep discharge. Concerned about having the BMS work when charging.

If the battery terminals are isolated from the system for the charging does the Ve BUS BMS still work?,

Does the Smart Charger manage the BMS function? The Smart battery seems to be permanently wired to the battery so assume its still functioning ?

Any help appreciated.

The IP65 smart is not controlled by anything but itself. The bms in this case has no way of controlling it as there are no comms.

In the troubleshooting part of the manual, it does state of you are recovering from low voltage you need to monitor it physically.
