Can I use Orion Smart 24/12-20 as a solar charging controller

Hi

I was thinking about optimizing my setup for number of elements. I don't have much space for the solar panels on my van so 240 W of the Orion 20 is more than enough. It accepts input voltage in a wide range between 16 and 35V so I was wondering if I could use it as a charging controller between my panels and the battery. The idea is to use a simple toggle to switch between the alternator and the solar panels as the input for the Orion 20.

Forgive me if the question seems silly and/or the answer obvious.

The Orion is not a solar charge controller, it can't track for the MPP.
To deliver 20A at the output you need a stable 15A input.
A 240W solar panel can't deliver that power continuously.
