Mounting MPPT and heat dissipation

Hi,

I know the manual states 10cm above and below for air flow when mounting an MPPT but if it's in an enclosure where the top has fine metal mesh could that clearance above be reduced to say 5cm and still be adequate for air flow?

Yes, a horizontal mesh should be the full width of the MPPT and extend 10cm in the direction at right angles, this will give an area which is equivalent to that in the manual.

You need the same again below the MPPT to admit cool air into the enclosure as well.
