rs 6000 48 volt 100 450 a

Hi running off grid with 2 pylotech batterys. all working fine but i have purchased a generator 6kva but the inverter will not close on relay 1 to caharge batterys. changed settings but still no joy

Check your incoming frequency. It may be out of range of accepted frequency

hi checked that it is within limit. sometimes it closes relay but then opens within 2 seconds. could i connect generator to consumer unit being off grid totally

Which firmware version is the Multi running?
The latest v1.11.
Then with the latest VictronConnect (v5.80) you should be able to see settings for generator support.
Moderate generator load changes under General settings:

Then under the Grid settings page there should be an option for UPS function.
Turn this off if the Multi is rejecting the generator after some seconds. This does increase the transfer time though:

i have v 1.11 on rs

and v 5.80
