blue power panel BBP2 causes Quattros to shut down when plugged into VEbus

3 phase quattro system

battery monitor used for generator control. (Skyla charger direct to batts - single phase)

When the BPP2 is connected on the VEbus - the quattros all shut off.

Battery monitor connected via VEnet to the BBP2

Any ideas?

I think you will find that the BPP2 is not compatable please change this to a CCGX or venus GX unit and if you have DC loads as well add a BMV712

I presume you are meaning a Blue Power Panel

it did work when first installed.

System was actually configured by "the" . (2013) by the one of only very few Victron distributors (and sales guy who ended up being Victorn UK!)

Anyhooo....

On site yesterday.. replacing two of the Quattros that had blown up at the back end of last year - (and replacing the BPP for a CCGx as it happens!)

It would seem very like the CAT5 cable connecting the last Quattro to the BPP was faulty... We were having similar shut down / flashy lighty issues when the CCGx was connected......

So.. Moral of the story is - to remove all doubt - change the cables out...!

Intrigued to know now if the VBC will appear on the CCGx if using the BPP as the VEnet / VEbus interface.....
