Resetting MODBUS UNIT ID for Multi RS on VECAN

how-to-change-modbus-tcp-multi-rs-from-unit-id-1-t.jpgWe read MODBUS TCP registers in Cerbo GX and have somehow changed the Modbus Unit ID for Multi RS which is on VECAN to Unit ID 1. We need to reset it back to Unit 100 as our standard software looks in this space and we dont want a one off. Help appreciated.

Hi @safiery

I've asked for you: a factory reset of the Cerbo should reset the numbering.

details:

it is allocated dynamically when the device starts up, starting from 0. And we use 100 as an alias for 0, because some PLCs don't like 0.

Usually what happens is people plug in one device... then decide no... I want to plug in a different one. So the first one is zero, the next one is 1... and then they can never get back zero. Happens frequently with solar chargers.

If you factory reset the GX... it forgets that allocation and starts from zero again.
