Multiplus 12V fuse blows out when charging

Hi everyone,

Everytime I try to charge my battery with the Multiplus, the external fuse in between the Multiplus and my battery blows out. A couple of minutes after this happens, I hear a particular 'click' sound in the Multiplus itself. It looks like it only happens when the battery is quite full already.

My set-up:

Battery: 230 amp Bosch L5080

Charger: Multiplus 12/1200/50

Fuse: 100Amp

I took off all the other 12-volt and 220-volt users, so the Multiplus was directly connected from the grid to the battery. Still, it happens.

I don't understand how it is possible that the 12V fuse blows out, because it should only be able to charge a maximum of 50 amps, right? Is there a certain setting I should change in the Multiplus? Did I use the wrong fuse, or might it be something else?

Thanks in advance!

I don't understand how it is possible that the 12V fuse blows out, because it should only be able to charge a maximum of 50 amps.

It is also an inverter capable of a peak ac output of 2400w.

Using the recommended 35mmsq cable, a 150a fuse would be ok.

Dont use audio type circuit breakers.
