how do i connect generator to multiplus 5000/48 .... what cable ? ....is it ac input from geni or dc ?

Answer depends on your generator. Most are ac coupled some are dc.
The ones that use AC/grid input on the multiplus you have a changover switch to select between grid or generator. Size of wiring also depends on the generator and ulinout current limit.
