When I disconnected my MPPT 75/15 from the battery for the winter, the green led stay steady on, without blanking. Normally, these beavior mean a float charge situation. So, what's going on?

It is still getting power from the solar panel and is trying to charge the battery, since there is no battery connected it jumps straight into float.

better to put a MCB on the solar line and switching it off before disconnecting the battery. So there will be no more any LED on.
