What does a negative value mean in VE Bus monitor??

On my L1 panel the readings will flash to a negative symbol for fraction of sec,
imains and power and iout and power.

What does this mean plz?

A negative power value indicates power is being sent to the grid. (A positive number indicates power is being taken from the grid.)

It is not uncommon for a Multi/Quattro to feed power into the grid when a large load is removed. This should only be for a fraction of a second until the system stabilizes.

I have a Nespresso coffee maker that regulates temperature by rapidly turning it's heating element on and off (many times a second). I see large swings in grid power and also inverter power during the brew cycle.
