Correct charging values for pylontech US3000C and SCC 100/20-48

Hi all,

I was searching this for while and still not able to find correct answer for this.

In my setup, my SCC 100/20-48 directly connected to one Pylontech US3000C battery and meanwell TS-3000 inverter. No communication between inverter battery or MPPT. (waiting for my cerbo-gx to deliver)

I set the MPPT charging profile to 52.70v first an then changed to 52.50V

This works without any issues. However I cannot full charge the battery sometimes due the panels not delivering enough power. (waiting for 8x 540w panels and 2x150/60 SCC)

What is the correct Absorption and float values for this battery.?

And I noticed when my solar output go below 120W the Pylontech goes to idle mode (RUN LED blinking and SOC LEDs are off)

This happens many time per day as my solar output go below 120w. and then back to charging mode once its more than 120W

I think this is due to 120W is not enough to charge the battery but enough to power my small load connected at the moment (NVR with 10 cameras and router)

I noticed Pylontech fully charged yesterday and today and MPPT limit the output power.

I'm worrying that changing idle and charging mode will damage the Pylontech

Thanks

@semiraue

The Victron Pylon page recommends 52v abs 51v float. But these are for systems that are DVCC controlled, which once you get your Cerbo will be if you CAN connect it It is not a total train smash if lithiums arent charged to full every day, some just need a good charge once a month for balancing. (Depending on how they are being discharged.)

Thanks @Alexandra. how about the Pylontech goes to idle/recharge many times per day ? Will this damage the battery or BMS ?

No, not to my knowlege. I have a few banks in the field from small to large.

They all do that when fully charged and not being discharged.

Will do that even on the systems that have 22k of load running directly off solar and are fully charged (so idle as the leds indicate)
