Understanding Config

Trying to understand which solar controllers to use. So i will have six 400w panels on my roof which can reach about 35v and 15 amps output. I want to charge four deep cycle 12v batteries. So for example if i take the 150/45 controller. That means 150 v input upto and 45 amps output across four 12v batteries? Am i also in stating that the controller could absorb upto 6000 w at 150 v? So i could connect four panels in series to charge four batteries using that controller

150V is the absolute maximum Voltage that the MPPT controller can tolerate at its PV input.
I'm not sure on the exact specifications of your panel, but usually four panels is too much for a 150V controller. You could get around this by connecting two panels in series and then those two sets in parallel.
45A is the maximum current that the controller can output into the battery. 45A x 14.8V = 666W. This is the maximum power that a 45A controller can put into a 12V battery bank.
You can have more PV power than the controller can make, very useful on cloudy days, but 1600W of panels into a 650W capable controller is a bit overkill.
A 100A charge controller would be more suitable for you, with 1480W at full charging power.
