MPPT not delivering maximum solar output

Hi,

I noticed that using my Victron MPPT 250/100 charge controller with a string of panels totaling 2500W , my controller seems to be limited at 2000W . ESS enabled and set to keep batteries charged and feed excess solar to the grid.

I have set my battery charge rate to 100A

I have DVCC enabled to set the battery charge to 20A to protect the battery .

Still cant get the controller to produce more than 2000W.

Regards

Because the panels are rated at 2500W doesn't mean you will get it.

That value is dependent on temperature - panels derate as they heat up.

It is affected by orientation, irradiance etc and obviously loads.

This is why it is common to overspec panels.

With DVCC set, only 20A can be used for charging. The rest has to go to loads, so that will also be a constraint.
