MultiPlus-II 48V 10000VA 140A 100A

How does the Victron Energy MultiPlus-II 48V 10000VA 140A 100A – PMP483105000 differ from the 48/5000/70-50?

The Manual says that the VE.Bus communication port links in Three phase operation. Implying that it wont work in a single phase operation? I am looking for a Multiplus cabable of charging and discharging at say 70% of 100 amp

The 48/5000/70-50 is pretty much half the capacity of the 48/10000/140-100.
The 48/5000/70 has 5kVA inverter output power, 70A charging current and 50A AC passthrough.
The 48/10000/140-100 has 10kVA inverter output power, 140A charging current and 100A AC passthrough.
The VE.Bus communications port is for configuration of the unit (using a MK3 dongle), for connecting to monitoring gateway (CerboGX for example) and for connecting multiple units together for parallel or three phase operation if required.
A single unit works on its own for single phase operation.
It would seem that the 48/5000/70 would suit you if you need 70% of 100A for battery charging as long as 5kVA inverter output is sufficient for your needs.
