Node Red Dashboard install

Hi,

I have installed Venus OS Large 2.90~21 (Einstein), under the VRM menu OS Large there is only the Node Red link but not node red Dashboard. How do I get the dashboard link?

Thanks,

E

You need to open the normal Node-RED editor and then download the dashboard node set from the Palette manager.

https://www.victronenergy.com/live/venus-os:large#node-red_dashboard

https://nodered.org/docs/user-guide/runtime/adding-nodes

https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-red-dashboard

Once installed the remote link via VRM will also become available.

You most likely still need to install the node-red-dashboard
it is not there by default !

Correct, it really should be bundled imo.

That has to do with the inability to upgrade to the latest version for the end-user. If we ship it with the large image, it ends up on the root partition (which is read-only). If the user installs it manually, it is upgradable to the latest version.
