MPPT Asorption

Has anyone an explanation why a MPPT would change its routine . It has always spent the stated time in Absorption , most days this time of year its 2 hours but last couple of days its only been 1 hour despite the voltage being almost the same , between 49 and 49.5 Volts . There is an explanation for longer than stated such as a large load has been drawn or weather becomes dull but not for shorter periods . Have not noticed any other changes .

If the MPPT current in Absorption drops below the threshold then it will move on to float earlier than the max absorption time indicated. This could be due to slight aging of the batteries, indicating the need for an equalisation charge - if permitted by the battery type.

Thanks for the suggestion's Mike but the batteries are 7 month old AGMs and performing perfectly . I have looked at the voltages , current and loads for the last 2 days and cant see any change from the norm , the time in Absorption is also exactly 1 hour to the minute , previously its been 2 hours to the minute .
