I have the same chanllenge, and ordered two 5 meter cables. But the distributer tells me it is not possible to connect the 5 m VE Can - Can bus BMS with a simple RJ45 extender. I really liked the solution. Can you confrim it did work for you. Thank you

To clarify, it will not work if join 2 Victron type A cables together, you need to join 1 Victron type A and 1 standard ethernet cable.

I don't think that will work with two type A cables.

The 2nd one will mix up the pins.

You need to use a normal straight patch cable.

Yes, that is what I said.

The OP said he had ordered 2x 5m Victron type A cables, and the distributor told him it wouldn't work. I was agreeing.

You can also use just a RJ45 extender and another 5m patch cable.
