AUX1 at Victron Quattro

I want to use my AUX1 from my Victron Quattro to disable charging with an assistent( charge current control assistant ).

Do I have to connect the two wires of the AUX1 to switch it on or off.

or can I give also 12V to the AUX1 to switch it on or off ?

Connect the wires to turn it on or off.
Please do not put 12V up it.

If your source signal is 12V then yes, a relay would work.

Alternatively, you could use an optocoupler, solid state and perhaps more elegant.

This is a screenshot of the charge current control assistant .

But here I have to insert a voltage on the AUX-1 ?

If I have a relay (Potentialfree) on the AUX-1 there is no voltage ?

Or do I see the things wrong?

Thanks you your help.

Your signal is 12V which is too high, so the need for a relay or opto coupler.

You can see on that page that there is mention of an internal pull-up, so you can have the 5V from the internal pull-up and the 0V when your relay contact closes.
Then set your DC charge current values for each state.
