Multiplus + Fronius Symo, DC and AC coupling

Hello,

I have a 15.2kWp with Fronius Symo 15kVA running. I would like to add another solar field 7.2kWp + self-made LTO Battery (about 15kWh) + 3x Multiplus-3kVA. Both systems shall be AC-coupled and off-grid capable.

According https://www.victronenergy.com/live/ac_coupling:start I have two problems: The Multiplus and the battery are too small for AC-coupling to the existing system.

I understand the reason - if the Symo runs with the full power and suddenly the grid is away, the power must be consumed until reduced by FSPC to avoid voltage increase.

Would be a 3-phase active limiter with e.g. 450/260VAC threshold based on a fat IGBT module a solution? The R1 can be non-linear (a series of avalanche diodes or a varistor(s))

Thanks a lot.
