Low Battery Voltage warning 24v multiplus 3000

I have a client having a multiplus low voltage warning coming on regulary and also a allarm warning triggering ,

So the question is - is anyone else seeing this low voltage warning light happening ?????? and is wondering why. ??????

now the clients LiPO bank is in the final stages of balancing as I have 6 cells at 3.50 to 3.52v and two cells at 3.34v so the BMS is telling the multiplus and the smartsolar mppt to STOP charging as it should and I suspect by reducing the ccl to zero - and at this point I suspect that a INCORRECT low battery voltage warning is occurring.

Hardware installed 1 x Multiplus 24/3000, 1 x 150/35 MPPT 1 x 123smart BMS 8 x calb se200 cells 1 x Cerbo on fw 2.85

---------------------------------------------------------

1. multiplus on Newest fw 496 (No assistants installed)

2. I am thinking its occuring when the BMS changes the CCL to zero amps that this light then comes on

3. the alarm log is showing heaps of these warnings

4. DVCC is turned on and no assistants have been installed.

Why are the cell temperatures so different?

Have you tried another way of balancing?

What are the settings in the multi?

the cell temps are different on this BMS sensors as when its balancing then the cell temp sensor is close to the hot balancing fet - thus the temp readings vary due to balancing heat - (nothing to worry about in my option anyway)

I could remove the cells and balance on a charger - (but this quire is - has anyone seen this plus its also a possible cause for others to look at - and what ever it should not be happening - so we have to find a causeso it can be fixed or resoved)

This graph shows the charge discharge limits over the last 2 days and they closely correspond to the low voltage alarms.

UPDATE 1300hrs 23-4

for experimentation only - I have now added a ess assistant and allowed the export of surplus solar (DC connect) and since then I have had NO Low battery voltage warnings. set the BMS to other system BMS ie CAN - I am wondering if not having some type of BMS assistant that the errors maybe occuring (just a thought)

After adding the ess the error has so far stopped

I have still not determined the full issue yet so if you are looking please check and advise re - at what your BMS is doing as it maybe setting the CCL CVL DCL settings to zero or sum such thing and causing the low voltage to trigger.

I have found that there was a bad connection from one BMS control to the next cell and thus a BMS fault error was occuring - this then changed the CCL CVL DCL settings to zero or sum such thing and causing the low voltage to trigger on the inverter.

well thats my report so far

The setup has been on 496 fw but we are still seeing Low voltage battery light and getting a low battery allarm warnings on the vrm. I see that in the Fw change log that 495 had some improvements made, for BOL but I think its still happening on this site when the battery is 100% full and loads are low .

Notes below from 495 firmware change log.

March 15, 2022

  • Added “gridcode” for AS/NZS 4777.2:2020 appendix M (standalone inverter)
  • Max apparent power limited to 4.6kVA when VDE gridcode selected.
  • Improvements:
    • Low bat indication is generated when discharge is forbidden by BOL
(BOL= Battery Operational Limits (used by DVCC on CCGX)
