New install of Victron Multiplus gx trips 32A rcd, any ideas why?

I've temporally disconnected everything from the Multi apart from the mains input but when I turn the unit on it displays it's name etc then pop goes the rcd!

Which RCD?

Do you have batteries connected?

Hi.

No batteries connected - could that cause the issue?

Was making sure wiring was correct prior to connecting batteries.

The rcd is in the consumer unit that feeds the AC-IN on the Multi.

Ideally you would not have an RCD before the inverter, only on the output.

Really? I thought all feeds from the CU would be protected by an rcd. I'll ask the electrician about that one.

MultiPlus/Quattros always need a battery connected.

Thank you.

Would that cause the rcd tripping issue?
