While on grid my victron multiplus 3000va goes into inverter mode whenever a large load is applied and then does not charge the batteries? What would be the cause of this? And does anyone have any possible solutions? Thanks in advance

Depends... there's an input grid current limit, which may be set too low. You need to check that against the heavy load draw. Input limit can be adjusted.

Where would i find that setting? i have the colour control?

From what we have been able to determine is that the heavy load being drawn was from an aircon. Aircon needs to be moved to the DB before the inverter.
