Update Victron OS from 2.73 to 2.84 on Raspberry 3B+

I have a Raspberry PI 3B+ with Victron OS 2.73. I want to update it to 2.84. Can I simply do this via settings/firmware update or do I have to set up the system from scratch? Can this cause problems?
