Orion DC to DC charger fluctuating input voltage

Hi there. First post and I’m sorry it’s a question.

I have just fitted the DC to DC smart charger and I’m receiving major input voltage fluctuations which I believe isnot allowing the unit to detect the engine start. I have put a multimeter across the terminals and see a steady 12.8 v engine off and 13.8 volts when running. I’ve doubled checked the cables etc and they look great. I swapped in this unit after removing a split charger so I know that all worked.
many help would be greatly approached.

There are settings inside the Orion to work with this.

Install the Victron Connect app on your phone, if you haven't already done so.

Us e the app to connect to the charger with Bluetooth Go into settings and you will be able to adjust start voltage, and so on.

But. Why only 13.8V? What do you measure at the battery with engine running? If it's much higher, you have a wiring problem.
