IP22 CHARGER FOR MARINE USE?

ARE THESE CHARGERS OK TO USE ON A BOAT? THE MANUAL SUGGESTS REMOVING THE BATTERIES FROM THE BOAT OR USING A MARINE SPECIFIC CHARGER? I THOUGHT THIS CHARGER WAS SAFE FOR USE ON A BOAT?

As long as you can install it at a dry place I don't see any issues using it on a boat.

IP 22 is not water rated. I think that is clear enough from Victron. As it is a known rating.

However not all parts of a boat get wet. As Matthias mentioned if installed in the correct environment should be ok.

As in people use ordinary laptops without problems, as long as they keep them dry.

But if you're concerned, the IP67 is available.
