I have recently installed solar on my boat , the old system included a shore charger and alternator , start bank and house connected via Cyrix. All working perfectly.
The addition of solar means that as soon as the MPPTs start charging the Cyrix connects the start and house and charges both. The problem with that is that if I am at anchor and I want to move , the house and start are connected so when I start the engine the house also cranks.
What is the best way to isolate the Cyrix when I do not want it to connect the house and start bank together?
