The inverter is protected against overheating whether it be ambient temp or overloading. Ensure you have it well ventilated with at least 10cm spaces around it. It is only a 400W continuous output inverter, but it sounds like the fan works as intended. What is the temp as hot is quite hard to guage with an actual value.
