can I connect a SmartSolar MPPT Tr VE. Can 150V 100 amp to a
Victron Energy SmartSolar Pluggable Control Display with a DB9 extension cable to mount remotely?

depends on the distance. for relatively short distances this should work, but I doubt anyone else has tried this before. I managed to extend the MPPT display which uses the VEdirect interface cable to 12m using cat6 cable with twisted pairs for tx data rx data and power. If you can identify the data pins and use twisted pairs for these it should work.
