ESS Firmware update

I did the firmware update of my MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-48 to version 487 and I lost ESS just having the message "No ESS Assistant found". Any idea what configuration has changed? Alternatively is there any chance to downgrade?

A FW update will reset all settings to default. Did you save your settings before updating and restore them afterwards?

I tried but I get an error related with a firmware version.
Through VEConfigure I see no assistant is loaded and the reason is that Virtual Switch is now on while on file before firmware upgrade it as off. No idea what's happen if I turn it off
