BMV-602S to BMV-712

Hello, I am going to replace my boat's battery monitor BMV-602S with a BMV-712. I am wondering if I can use the existing 602's shunt with the new 712 monitor? It would save a lot of work installing if I don't have to replace the existing shunt as it is difficult to access.

Thanks

I have just switched out a BMV-600 with a BMV-712 using the existing shunt cable, so I would think that the same would be true for a BMV-602.
The data connector is different between the two though, but that may not be important to you.

Hi, thanks for the replies. Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean by the "data connector"? Thanks
