Victon Multiplus fan does not switch off

The fan on my multiplus 12/1600VA switched on immediately after connecting the batteries even when the Muti was on the off position. The fan has been running constantly when there is little to no load and the charger is in float mode.


Is this normal? Ambient temperature is less than 22 C and the multi is cold to the touch. Is the fan meant to switch off?

No that's definitely not normal, the fan only runs under high load/temperatures.
