Because the solar panels, solar charge controller, and batteries work as a system, the specifications of all three determine the answer. Not knowing how many and what size batteries makes this a “maybe proposition.

Go to the Victron MPPT matcher app and plug in the info for your panels and batteries, and it’ll give a reliable suggestion for a charge controller. As long as it it equal or smaller than your 100|50, you’re good to go!

Select “custom module” to plug in your brand of panels’ data.

Thank you for your link, i have 2x12 volts x150amp batteries in parallel (300amp total) with a 280w 24volts panel on my mppt 100-50, i was just wondering if it would be too much to replace my current panel with 2x320watts. System runs great fom april to mid october but later in the season i have to use my generator to charge my batteries...Thanks !
