14.4 volt Charging for Lithium batteries causes 12 volt LEDs to Flicker

I was warned that cheap LED lighting might not be compatible with the 14.4-volt charging level Lithium batteries require. Sure enough, my cheap LED lighting in my RV trailer (caravan) flicker when the system voltage rises above about 13.5 volts. One suggested solution was to insert a DC-to-DC converter for my 12-volt loads, including motors and LEDs.

Anyone else experienced this issue, and what might be done to resolve this?

If you add a 1N5404 diode in series with the LED that will give a 0.6 voltage drop.
