Alternative for current transformer

Hi,

I'm really beginner but can be current transformer exchanged to something else to prevent power leakeage to the grid? I cannot install current transformer in the point I'm connected to the grid. Can I use i. e. eastron meter as the current transformer? I have readings from meter via modbus-tcp conventer.

Hi @xfiles80

You can write custom code (drivers) to integrate any energy meter however if you're a beginner I'd maybe stick to one of the default supported ones. See here:

Energy Meters VM-3P75CT, ET112, ET340, EM24 Ethernet & EM540 - Victron Energy

and here:

Datasheet-Energy-Meters-Selection-Guide-EN.pdf (victronenergy.com)

If you do want to make your own driver check of venus os github's wiki page for more details.
