Samsung S23 - can see devices but wont connect

Hi Gang,

Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra

Since a phone update (about a month ago) my Samsung will see all Victron devices but wont connect to any, it gets to nearly 80% in the connection window, then for an instance pings up the bluetooth password form, closes it, rescans & goes round again with no input or time to do anything. Does this 3 times then the app comes up with the fail to connect window.

This happens even on new devices too.

Any ideas?

@Spookybear

Often it can be another app that is hijacking the Bluetooth connection.

See step 6.

You can also perform the action and then post the service report here.

VictronConnect_report.log

Hi,

It's almost as if it auto-enters with a blank password, hopefully the log will say something :-)

Many thanks, Shane

Hi @Spookybear

What I see in the service report is that Android indeed goes into a bonding state, but it leaves it within a second. As said by Alexandra, please check whether there are other apps installed that might do something with bluetooth, like apps for other power products, drone/rc remote controls or apps for toys. Remove those apps and try again. If the problem persists, please try to bond from within the Android bluetooth menu by finding the victron product there and clicking it.

Kind regards,

Thiemo van Engelen
