Do I need VE Can MPPT controller with Cerbo GX

I am looking to get a Smartsolar MPPT 150/70 Solar Charge Controller, but there are two models. The one with VE Can added to the description is $32 more. From reading it looks like I can still connect to the Cerbo GX via VE direct with the cheaper model. If I plan to connect to a Cerbo GX, do I need / want this VE Can option?

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

No need for the VE.Can model unless you plan to add many more later. Plus point of VE.Can is up to 15 MPPTs can be daisy chained from one single port on the Cerbo.
