Scheduled Discharge for Exporting from Battery in ESS Settings

Scheduled Charging works great (would be nice to see some more schedule rows available) but we are seeing export rewards now to support the grid and reduce fossil fuel use at specific times in the UK, in the region of £/€4 per kWh incentive at peak grid use times between 4 and 7 pm

Being able to program discharge from battery in winter after charging at low cost would support this and help us pay for the investment in a controlled way. Currently we have to adjust grid set point negative in 10 watt increments to -4kw which is tedious then wait to set it back manually 2 hours later.

While automaton and smart exporting is still learning its way forward, could a Victron engineer cut and paste the scheduled charging code into a Scheduled Discharging menu for us so each customer doesn’t have to become a Node Red expert when there is manufacturer expertise to design it right once for us all?

Additionally, a simple “Export x kWh between x and x times would be useful as an option to the way Scheduled charge works. This would allow us to plan enough charge left to get through the night to charge at economic charge rates in winter.

Thanks for considering this in amongst your larger planned work and also to the team for the great enhancements and fixes you work so hard to provide at sustained quality.

That is what Dynamic ESS is for, currently in Beta. Go look in the modifications section.
