Different arrays different size controllers?

I have (6) six 100Amphr Battleborn batteries. I am trying to add to my existing system with gifted parts. Currently I have (2) Two - 300 (W) panels with the following Specifications

  • Peak power(PM):300w
  • Maximum Power Current(IMP):17.24A
  • Maximum Power Voltage(VMP):17.4V
  • Short Circuit Current(ISC):18.27A
  • Open Circuit Voltage(vOc):21.4V
  • Working Temperature:-20°C TO+60°C
  • Tolerance:±5%

2x 300w Solar Panels wired in a 2s1p configuration INTO a Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100V 50 amp 12/24-Volt Solar Charge Controller (Bluetooth)
I was recently gifted Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100V 30 amp 12/24-Volt Solar Charge Controller. and wanted to wire 2 more of the same panels in to that. 2 questions, Can I use two different size charge controllers together to power same battery bank? and, Can the 100v 30A handle two of those panels at severe cold temps or should I just go with one?

@JD

Yes you can use both charge controllers on the one bank, the bank is big enough to take the amps.

And yes the same two panels will work on the 100/30 as they do on the 100/50.

You can check it out on the online mppt calculator.

30A x 12v is 360W (@14v is 480w) so you will be leaving a bunch on the table as it were on sunny dyas, but the charge controller will be ok.
