MPII 48v 3k - Flashing Code

I am getting this flashing code and at the same time there is no AC output. Sometimes it goes back to solid green and AC output is live.

Hi Jim, the link to the video may have been blocked - or at least my browser isn't liking it - but you can find LED code definitions in Section 7 "Error Indications" of the user manual for your unit, which will at least be a good place to start troubleshooting!

You didn't specify which exact model you have (ie, 120V or 230V), but all user manuals are available here: https://www.victronenergy.com/inverters-chargers/multiplus-ii#manuals

Thanks for noticing the failed link.


While I look into that, my inverter is a Multiplus-II 48v 3kw 120. While the LED error code page did not provide a specific code I can tell you the yellow leds (bulk, absorbtion, float) are all blinking along with inverter on. Note that the inverter is not connected to shore power. This seems to be a more serious failure.

What else do you have on the system? If the inverter light is also flashing, in phase opposition, and no AC output then that definitely indicates a VE.Bus error code, but this should only occur when the unit is connected to other components over VE.Bus, like a Cerbo or other GX device, or when the unit may be incorrectly connected to a non-VE.Bus device or port, or something of that nature.
