Smart Solar 250/60 rev2 switches off after huge DC current peak

I currently face a MPPT charger gone OFF at high noon. DC voltage reports as 0.03, current=0A

Before the DC current reports a huge peak above 466 (!) A . See vrm snapshot.smartsolarchargermppt250-60rev2-suddencurrentpeak.png

During normal operation in the past weeks the peak current delivered by the 5 solar panels in row is at about 10A.

Any hints? Do I face a defect?

The device is still visible in the vrm portal - two hours after the issue.

@jestron

See the mppt section of the pre rma form... A self check may be worth doing. Then you can decide if it definitely needs to be sent in or not. See page 21 of print version for the section you need.
