VICTRON SMARTSOLAR MPPT 100/15 Shut

There is a possibility to switch the mppt off for maintenance.

Is this a problemen voor the mppt if you do this for a longer time and more frequent.

This is to protect the lifepo battery

or is it better to do this with a VE Direct non-inverting remote on/off cable

I don’t want to damage the mppt

There is no downside to using this feature to turn off the MPPT. The VE.Direct non-inverting remote on/off cable is used for automation, e.g. controlled by a BMS.

Thanks Stefanie, I was looking for that answer from a Victron staffer.

But then the warning in Victron Connect should be removed, not?

"Only use for maintenance" is apparently wrong and thus very confusing.
