Multiplus 12/500 with Smartsolar MPPT 75/15

Hi,

My Multiplus 12/500 is currently connected directly to the battery. I want to add a 160W solar panel with a Smartsolar MPPT 75/15. I understand that I have to directly connect the MPPT to the battery as well.

My concern is over charging the batteries seeing that the Mutiplus can push 20A and the MPPT 15A. Or will the two devices communicate with each other via VE.Smart network to ensure that the batteries are not overcharged?

You forgot to mention your batt chemistry, or Ah capacity.

In general, you only need to set the battery voltage characteristics in both the MPPT and the inverter. assuming that the battery can absorb 35A (not excessive) then the battery won't be overcharged.
