Multiplus Low battery voltage ALARM

My setup consist of 6 X 100 A 12 V Battleborn batteries with multiplus 120/ 3000 .Color Control GX shows battery bank 100% full and battery voltage 12.5 V .Every time I get Low Baterry Alarm when I turn on 110 V appliances . Color Control GX shows Battery bank is 98 % full battery voltage drops to 11.7 and Multiplus tuns off. Any suggestions?

12.5V is not fully charged for a battle born.so the issue is your battery is low.

The excerpt below is from battle borns site.

Our charging parameters consist of the following: Bulk/absorb = 14.2 – 14.6 VFloat = 13.6 V or lower No equalization (or set it to 14.4 V) No temperature compensation Absorption time is 20 minutes per battery (if it’s an option) 12 V Bulk/absorb 14.2 – 14.6 Volts (we usually recommend 14.4) float 13.6 Volts or lower No equalization (or set it to 14.4 V), no temperature compensation and absorption time is 20-30 minutes per battery (if it’s an option).

If your parameters are correct then what ever you are using for State of Charge is not correct.

Then on top of that you will get voltage drop under load which is why the inverter is shutting down on load.

What chemistry batteries, I assume they are all in parallel? 12.5 V doesn't sound like a 100% charged battery voltage? What battery values have you programmed into the Multiplus?

These are the numbers from the Battleborn website..

Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers for systems equipped with solar. With Solar Charge Controllers we recommend the following settings:

  • bulk and absorption: 14.2-14.6 volts(aiming for a sweet spot of 14.4 is recommended)
  • float: 13.6

So, 12.5v is not 100% charged.
