Setting Multiplus to charge at offpeak times only on a boat

Hi,

Were on a boat in the uk and have a 16a hookup supply through an isolation transformer to a 12/3000/120 multiplus with victron lithium and a BMS. I see we cannot use ess on a boat and we cannot use a virtual switch as it removes the BMS assistant. Im thinking to put an inline timer switch before the multi to control the shore supply but would prefer to use the equiptment I already have.

Any ideas much appreciated

Cheers

Hi @Innovativeecohomes

Whatever you were considering doing with Virtual Switch you can do with Assistants. They're a little trickier to set up, but more powerful generally. The onboard ACIN relay is indeed attractive, rather than adding in something external.

Trouble is, the Multi can't tell the time on it's own. A simple external signal could prompt, but if you could devise a way to prompt from one of the measurable components available to the Multi?.. You can add in time delays too, hey.

For the thinking person..
