I installed a multiplus 2. The AC out 2 never came live with shore power feeding AC in and AC out 1 just drains the battery. The only function that works is the inverter.

New Multiplus II inverter/charger is not using shore power.
At this point I'm thinking the connection is solid since the mains light is off. I'm using 10-2 is the video that shows how to connect that to this terminal block? Its solid wire and isn't locking in place.
If you have sorted your wiring, then you need either the dongle or a GX and the vrm to program to your needs.
The base programming probably does not match your needs at all.
Also have a digital meter handy instead of guessing if there is power at the terminals.
