Clamp-on current transformer to measure PV on Multiplus-II ?

Hi there,
I connected an PV Inverter to the Multiplus-II, is it possible to use this blue current transformer clamp to see the PV-generated power or is this sensor only to replace the internal current sensor for ESS?

Can't find any info about this,
thank you!

Hi,

As far as I am correctly informed, you can only connect a current sensor to the 3.5mm jack plug to replace the internal current sensor. As soon as you plug in the 3.5mm jack plug, the internal current sensor is bypassed. So the Multiplus2 doesn't even notice it. This means that you cannot tell the Multiplus2 that it is now measuring the current from your solar system.

In order to measure the current of your solar system correctly, you need an extra meter, which is then connected to a VenusGX device via RS485, for example. In the VenusGX you can then select exactly which current is then measured.

Best regards

Hannes
