Raspberry Pi mouse

I have my Raspberry Pi running with a mouse that requires a USB "dongle". This works ok if I insert the dongle after Venus has started and the mouse then works as expected, however if I restart Venus, it doesn't recognise the mouse and I have to remove and replace the dongle.

Any way to overcome this?

No help for your question. But a post bump with a question for you? What mouse are you using? I'm looking for something to put on the wall by my screen like a track ball or track pad
